Simply Saunas is an online sauna shop run by Gudrum Classics Ltd, a UK importer of timber garden buildings that has been trading since 2003. The office is in Newark, Nottinghamshire, but there's no showroom, so you buy online or over the phone with help from the sales team.

It suits anyone planning a sauna at home, whether that's a barrel or cube sauna for the garden, an indoor infrared cabin for a spare room, or a full outdoor sauna big enough for six. Brands include Stjarna, Norland, Palmako, KAJO and Vidalux, and the shop also sells wood-fired hot tubs, cold tubs, ice baths, heaters, log cabins and summerhouses. Prices include VAT, and most saunas are made to order, so delivery can take several weeks.

What's worth a look

Six saunas, tubs and heaters from the Simply Saunas range, with today's prices. Where a price says "from", it's the starting price for the basic version.

The Norland Abisko is one of the cheaper outdoor saunas on the site at the moment, while the Vidalux Premier 2 Person Infrared Sauna is an indoor option that doesn't need any garden space. If you want a cold plunge after the heat, the Stjarna Cold Tub 120 is a timber tub for the garden, and wood-fired hot tubs such as the DeLux 200 are heated with wood rather than electricity.

Before ordering an outdoor sauna, plan the base and the power supply. Simply Saunas sells building bases and has buying guides and an installation service on the site, and its sales team can talk through electrical requirements and which size fits your space. Prices go up as you add options such as glazing, heaters and roofing, so build the full version you want before comparing prices.
