Theatre Tickets Direct is a London ticket agent that sells seats for West End musicals and plays, along with show-and-dinner packages and gift vouchers. It says it has been a member of STAR, the ticket agents' trade body, for over 20 years, and it shows you your seat numbers before you pay. It's handy if you're planning a trip to London or a birthday treat and want to compare discounted performances in one place, especially if you're flexible about which weeknight you go.

What's worth a look

  • Avenue Q at the Shaftesbury Theatre: tickets currently from £32 (prices can change). You can save up to 45% on Monday to Friday performances until 4 December 2026. The puppet musical for grown-ups is back in the West End, booking until 3 January 2027. It's a good choice for a night out with friends rather than with children.
  • The Devil Wears Prada at the Dominion Theatre: currently from £31. You can save up to 40% on Monday to Friday performances until 16 October 2026, and you need to book by the same date. The musical has songs by Elton John. It's recommended for ages 8 and up.
  • Wicked at the Apollo Victoria: currently from £30.24. You can save up to 30% on Tuesday to Friday and Sunday performances between 6 October and 8 November 2026, as long as you book by 11 October. The age guide is 7 and up, which makes it a solid half-term option for older children.
  • Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre: currently from £25. You can save up to 30% on performances until 8 November, but Saturday evenings and 23 October to 1 November are excluded. Book by 4 October 2026 to get the deal. It's a family favourite, but under-5s aren't admitted.
  • Singin' in the Rain at Sadler's Wells: currently from £15.09, with no booking fee on all performances from 2 June to 3 July 2027. You need to book by 5 October 2026. It's worth a look if you like to plan well ahead.

Current offers

  • Save up to 45% on selected West End shows. Avenue Q and English National Ballet's Rhythm Riot are both listed at this level.
  • Save up to 40% on The Devil Wears Prada.
  • Save up to 30% on Wicked and Matilda.
  • No booking fee on Singin' in the Rain at Sadler's Wells.
  • Theatre gift vouchers from £25, valid for 24 months.
  • A 3% discount is also listed as a current offer.

The site's discount offers page lists everything currently on offer in one place, including shows marked "Special Prices" or "Exclusive Prices".

How to save more

  • Read the dates before you pick a show. Almost every deal here only covers certain days or weeks, and many have a "book by" date. Wicked's discount, for example, doesn't apply on Mondays or Saturdays. Pick the deal first and then choose your date, not the other way round.
  • Ask about group rates. Each show page has a link to request discounted group tickets, which is worth trying for office trips or big family outings.
  • Think about gift vouchers for Christmas. Vouchers come in amounts from £25 to £500, arrive by email straight away and last 24 months. The recipient can wait for a discounted performance before using theirs.
