Wild at Heart is a London florist founded by Nikki Tibbles, with around 30 years of weddings, events and bouquets behind it. Its original shop, the turquoise-tiled Turquoise Island on Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill, is still open, and the bouquets for online orders are made in the team's studio in Battersea. The look is generous and seasonal: loose, garden-style arrangements with plenty of texture rather than tight, formal posies.

It suits anyone sending flowers for a birthday, anniversary, thank you or sympathy who wants something a bit special, and it's particularly handy in London, where orders placed before the cut-off can be hand-delivered the same day. Outside London, bouquets go by DPD for next-day or nominated-day delivery at a flat £15, seven days a week. Note that Northern Ireland, the Scottish Isles, the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and the Scilly Isles aren't covered.

The autumn collection is in full swing. Last Light mixes roses, chrysanthemums and carnations in copper and deep red with rosehips and beech, while Golden Hour goes for soft yellow roses, orchids and sea oats. Both are £125. If that's more than you want to spend, the Mini Me bouquets are a smaller format at £80, and the single-variety rose bunches such as Country Blues Roses start at £70 for 10 stems.

Bouquets come in four sizes, Delicate, Charming, Abundant and Magnificent, so check which one you've picked before you pay, as it changes the look a lot.

• If you send flowers regularly, for yourself, an office or a relative, a prepaid subscription works out cheaper than buying the same bouquets one by one.
• Group homeware into one order: Wild at Home pieces ordered on their own cost £3.95 to deliver, rather than the £15 flower delivery charge.
