ParkVia: compare and book airport parking at UK and European airports

ParkVia is a parking comparison and booking site run by ParkVia Ltd, which started in 2008 and is based at Manchester Airport. It's now part of CAVU, the travel services arm of Manchester Airports Group. ParkVia doesn't own any car parks. It works as a booking agent, listing over 1,000 parking providers at more than 400 locations so you can compare them in one search.

It's built for anyone driving to the airport for a holiday or business trip. You can line up official airport car parks against park and ride, meet and greet and hotel parking. It also covers ports, train stations and city centres, plus airports abroad if you keep a car in Spain or fly from elsewhere in Europe. Lounges, fast track, car hire and transfers can be added through the same site.

Booking takes a few steps: enter your dates and times, choose a car park, then pay. A confirmation email follows with the car park address and instructions. ParkVia says over 90% of car parks can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before arrival.

What's worth a look

Each airport page lists the car parks with ratings, features and distance from the terminal.

The Gatwick page lists 31 car parks, from the official Long Stay South to APH self-park and meet and greet. On the homepage ParkVia quotes Gatwick parking from £108 a week. Manchester also has 31 options, including Maple Parking park and ride and a meet and greet service at Terminal 3. Heathrow has around 40 to choose from. Each listing shows features such as 24-hour security, shuttle buses or insured drivers, along with customer reviews.

How to save more

• Book as soon as your flights are fixed, then keep an eye on prices. With free cancellation on most car parks, you can rebook if the same space gets cheaper.
• Sort by best price per day rather than distance. Park and ride is usually cheaper than meet and greet or the closest official car park.
• For the price guarantee, screenshot the car park's own booking page with the full total for exactly the same dates and times. A daily rate on its own won't count.
