Yale: smart locks, alarms and safes direct from the lock maker

Yale has been making locks since the 1840s, and yalehome.co.uk is its official UK shop. Alongside the traditional cylinders, nightlatches and padlocks the name is known for, it sells smart locks, DIY smart alarms, indoor and outdoor cameras, video doorbells and safes. The UK business is based in Willenhall, the home of British lock-making, and is part of the ASSA ABLOY group.

It suits homeowners and renters upgrading their front door, anyone setting up a first alarm or camera, and people who just need a spare key cut. Buying direct gets you free delivery on every order to Great Britain and Northern Ireland and a genuine key-cutting service.

Returns are free on most items if they reach Yale within 14 days of delivery, unused and in their original packaging. If you'd rather not fit things yourself, there's an installation service for many products, and the UK customer support team can be reached by phone on weekdays and Saturday mornings to help you choose the right lock or alarm for your door and budget.

What's worth a look

Six products from across the range, at the prices shown on the Yale site today.

The Linus L2 Lite with 3 Star cylinder is a good-value way into smart locks: you can lock and unlock with a button press inside or from your phone, manage guest access without handing out keys, and still use a physical key in an emergency. Use the compatibility checker on the site before ordering any smart lock. At the other end of the price scale, the Value Safe is a simple PIN-code safe from £23.99.

All the smart products, from locks to cameras and the alarm, run through the same Yale Home app, so it's worth sticking with one system if you plan to add more later. The Smart Indoor Camera stores recordings on the device itself, which means you don't need a subscription just to look back at clips.

Current offers

• 20% off selected products for National Home Security Month.
• The Current Promotions page lists the discounted bundles, including 18% off Keyless Connected smart lock + nightlatch bundles and 25% off the Fire Safety Accessory Kit.
• Free standard delivery on all orders to mainland GB and Northern Ireland, mostly next working day.

How to save more

• Look at the bundles before buying a lock, cylinder or camera on its own: the bundle prices on the promotions page are lower than buying the parts separately.

• Order replacement keys before 4pm Monday to Thursday for free next-day delivery, rather than paying a locksmith for a call-out.
