About Bordelle
Bordelle is a London lingerie and bodywear label founded by Alexandra Popa, which launched at Selfridges in 2009. Its look is built around customised satin elastic strapping and 24k gold-plated hardware, combined with silk satin, Italian mesh and embroidered lace. The result is a range of structured bras, bodices, briefs, suspenders and lingerie dresses that are designed to adjust to the wearer, using the brand's own sizing system.
The collection is split between the Signatures, a permanent line in a small set of core colours, and seasonal mainline collections such as Ren, Neda, Zenna and Pearl. Alongside lingerie there are stockings, hold-ups and tights, belts, garters and harness accessories, silk satin scrunchies, lingerie wash and gift vouchers. Pieces are designed and made by Bordelle's teams in London and at Atelier Bordelle Productions, the brand's own production facility in Cluj, Romania, which the site says works in small batches to limit overproduction.
Bordelle is stocked by department stores and boutiques in more than 25 countries, and its UK site ships to the UK and most of the world outside Europe, with a separate EU store for European addresses. There is a private showroom in West London for appointments, sizing advice and bespoke work, and a points-based loyalty scheme called Bordelle Between Us. Prices sit firmly at the luxury end, from accessories at around £50 to dresses over £1,000.
