About ChessSets.co.uk
ChessSets.co.uk is an online chess shop run by JDS Toys & Games Ltd from Frome in Somerset. It launched in 2011 and is a sister company of Regency Chess, part of the same group, with managing director Julian Deverell. Orders go out from its UK warehouse.
The range covers complete chess sets, Staunton pieces, boards, clocks and storage cases. Most sets come from specialist makers in Italy, Poland, Spain, India and Germany, and a few items are made in England. You'll find walnut and maple boards in a range of sizes, deluxe and luxury Italian boards, reproduction Staunton pieces in ebony and boxwood, decorative resin chessmen from Berkeley Chess, and folding magnetic travel sets that make good gifts.
Orders placed by 2:30pm on a weekday are dispatched the same day, and UK mainland delivery takes one to two working days using couriers such as FedEx, UPS, DX and Royal Mail. The shop also ships to the USA. There's a 30-day no-quibble returns policy for items returned unused in their original packaging, with refunds made within two to six working days of the parcel arriving back.
