About DHgate
DHgate is an online marketplace based in Beijing. It links mainly Chinese manufacturers and small sellers with retailers and individual shoppers in other countries. Rather than holding its own stock, it hosts listings from many independent sellers, so prices, delivery times and service vary from seller to seller.
The business was started in August 2004 by Diane Wang and went live in 2005. The name comes from Dunhuang, a city on the old Silk Road. Over the years it has added services for sellers in Vietnam, Turkey and Japan, and it has offices outside China, including in the UK and the US. The site is available in several languages, including English.
Listings cover electronics and accessories, clothing, beauty products, and home and party goods, often with lower prices for larger quantities. In 2022 the US Trade Representative named DHgate on its list of marketplaces of concern for counterfeit goods, so it makes sense to buy from well-reviewed sellers, read each listing carefully and check delivery, import charges and returns terms before ordering.
How to use a DHgate voucher code
- Tap Get code on the offer you want. We copy the code for you and open DHgate in a new tab.
- Check the offer's Terms first: some codes need a minimum spend, are for new customers only, or exclude sale items.
- Add what you want to your basket on dhgate.com.
- Go to the checkout and choose your delivery option.
- Paste the code into the discount code or promo code box and apply it. Check the discount shows in your order total before you pay.
- Didn't work? Tap Didn't work? under the code so we can recheck it, and read why codes fail.
Ways to save at DHgate
- Compare several sellers for the same item, as prices and delivery charges differ between them.
- Check the price breaks on a listing; many sellers charge less per item when you buy more.
- Allow for UK VAT and any delivery charges when working out the final cost of an order from overseas.
