About Gaâla
Gaâla is a womenswear label started in 2020 by married couple Kelly and Alexander, who had business backgrounds rather than fashion ones. They sold their apartment to fund the first collection, sourced deadstock fabric in Prato in Italy, and began with one retired tailor. The business has grown since, with its own workshops, and the company behind it is GAALA MB, based in Vilnius, Lithuania, with a pop-up boutique in Le Marais, Paris.
The look is French and quietly vintage: belted and collared dresses, tweed jacket-and-skirt sets, silk blouses, cashmere and merino knitwear, linen summer dresses and a wedding range with bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses and guest outfits. Fabrics include silk, linen, wool, cashmere, tweed and eco viscose, and many pieces are made to order, which takes three to five weeks.
UK shoppers see prices in pounds with duties and VAT already included, so there's nothing to pay on delivery. Standard shipping to the UK is free over €150, returns cost €5 within 14 days and exchanges aren't offered for UK orders. The Last Chance Archives section has older styles at up to 50% off, and the Gaâla Women Society loyalty scheme gives points on every purchase.
