HealthExpress is an online doctor and pharmacy run by Hexpress Healthcare Ltd from Lower Addiscombe Road in Croydon, south London. It says it launched in 2003 as one of the first online healthcare providers in the UK and has treated more than a million customers. The pharmacy is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (registration 9011703), its prescribing doctors are registered with the General Medical Council, and the service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
The service covers a wide range of conditions, from sexual health and contraception to travel health, skin, hair loss and menopause. Prescription medicines are only supplied after you fill in an online consultation form, which a doctor reviews before deciding whether to prescribe. On weekdays between 8am and 4:30pm the doctors aim to review a consultation within one to two hours; evening and weekend requests are looked at the next working day. The consultation is included in the treatment price.
Approved orders are dispatched from the Croydon pharmacy in plain, tamper-proof packaging. Tracked next day and nominated day delivery with Royal Mail are free, and same day delivery is available in parts of London for a fee. It doesn't deliver to Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands. Once medicine has been dispatched it can't be returned for a refund, as the pharmacy has to destroy returned medication. There is a price promise against comparable UK online pharmacies, with exclusions, and a HealthExpress app.
