Il Duomo is a multi-brand designer boutique in Novara, in Piedmont, north-west Italy. It opened in 1985 in a neoclassical building on Piazza della Repubblica, the square that is home to the city's cathedral, with interiors originally designed by the architect Vittorio Gregotti. Ercole Cellino took over the boutique from the Greppi family in 2017. He relaunched the womenswear floor, added a menswear space and started the online shop, which is run by Il Duomo S.r.l.
The edit leans towards big Italian and French fashion houses, including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Miu Miu, Prada, Valentino and Loewe, alongside newer names such as Acne Studios, Fear of God and AMI. The website is split into Woman, Man and Lifestyle sections, with clothing, shoes, bags, eyewear and accessories, plus separate sale sections for women and men.
Prices are shown in euros, including for UK visitors. Orders go by DHL, and delivery to the UK costs €50 and takes three to five business days. Parcels are sent duties unpaid, so UK buyers pay any import VAT and duty to the courier. Returns must be requested by email within 14 days of delivery, and the original shipping cost isn't refunded.
