About Modibodi
Modibodi makes reusable period and leakproof underwear. It was started by Kristy Chong, an Australian mum of four, who came up with the idea in 2011 while training for a marathon. The brand now sells around the world, and its UK site prices everything in pounds and ships from a UK warehouse, with same-day despatch on weekday orders placed before noon.
The pants have a thin absorbent lining built from three layers, and each style comes in absorbencies from moisture-wicking and light up to super. As well as everyday briefs, bikinis and boyshorts, there is period swimwear, sleepwear and activewear, a separate teen range with first period kits, and collaborations such as Puma x Modibodi and SmileyWorld. Modibodi says its garments are tested to stay leakproof for 100 washes and are Oeko-Tex 100 certified.
Single pairs mostly cost between about £14 and £21, and multi-packs and kits bring the price per pair down. First-time customers get a 60-day risk-free trial on one product from their first order, and there is a 30-day returns window for unopened full-price items. In the UK the business trades through Modibodi UK Ltd, a company registered in 2018.
