Why use Voucher Magpie?
Every Name a Star code here comes from Name a Star itself or its official affiliate programme, never copied from another voucher site. When you shop through our links, Name a Star may pay us a commission. It never changes your price. We give 50% of that commission to the charity, club or school you choose, at no extra cost to you.

Name a Star at starnames.com is run by Universal Star Listing Limited, a company based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, which has sold star-naming gifts in the UK since 1995, both directly and through resellers. You choose a star name and an optional message, and the company records that name against a star in its own Universal Star Listing register and sends a printed gift pack.
It is important to be clear about what you are buying. Naming a star this way is a symbolic novelty gift. The name is not officially recognised by astronomers or by the International Astronomical Union, and the company's own FAQ says its register would never be used by the scientific community, that you cannot buy a star, and that the same star may carry a different name in another company's register. The stars it lists are too faint to see with the naked eye, so you would need binoculars or, usually, a telescope.
Packs start with the Original Name a Star set, which includes an A4 certificate, a registration document with the star's co-ordinates, star locator instructions, a colour sky map and a jewelled star marker. Framed, boxed and deluxe versions add a clip frame, presentation box or a second framed certificate, and there are Valentine's packs too. Orders are posted by Royal Mail, with international delivery available.
