About Axel Hotels
Axel Hotels describes itself as the world's first hotel chain for the LGBTQIA+ community, while welcoming everyone. Juan Julià opened the first hotel, Axel Hotel Barcelona, in 2003 in the city's Eixample district, and the company, Axel Corporation Grupo Hotelero, is still based in Barcelona.
The hotels are adults only. City hotels include Axel Hotel Barcelona and Axel TWO Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Bilbao, San Sebastián and Berlin's Schöneberg district, and the Axel Beach hotels are in Ibiza, Maspalomas on Gran Canaria, Mykonos and Crete. Most have a rooftop or poolside bar and a wellness area, and many put on shows and parties. None are in the UK, so UK guests use Axel for city breaks and beach holidays in Spain, Germany and Greece.
Booking direct on the official site comes with perks: free cancellation until 6pm on the arrival day at most hotels (not Maspalomas, Ibiza or non-refundable offers), early check-in and late check-out when available, and cheaper breakfast. The free Axel and you loyalty club adds an extra 10% to 20% off depending on your level. A card guarantees each booking, and the full amount is charged the day before arrival.
Axel Hotels returns
| Returns | Free cancellation until 18:00 on the day of arrival when booking direct, except at Maspalomas, Ibiza and on non-refundable offers; no-shows are charged the first night (100% for non-refundable bookings). Booking fees are non-refundable. |

Does using Voucher Magpie cost more?
No. You pay Axel Hotels' normal price, less any discount. Our commission is paid by Axel Hotels or its affiliate network, not by you.
