One.World is an independent, family-run furniture and homeware business. It started in 1989, when Kathy and Sidney Bensohn moved from Cape Town to London and began importing handmade candles from Swaziland. Their sons now run it, with Jason leading the UK business and Jamie the US side, and the website is operated by One Dot World Ltd.
The range has grown to more than 900 products across the home and garden: sofas, armchairs and dining chairs; dining, coffee and console tables; sideboards and storage; wall, full-length and window mirrors; table and floor lamps; framed wall art; and homeware such as candles, vases, rugs, cushions and planters. Much of it is made from natural materials like oak, reclaimed wood, linen, iron and stone. Collections like Aldbury, Birkdale and Loumarin pull pieces together. There's also a trade programme for retailers, interior designers and hospitality businesses.
You can shop online or visit the flagship store on Parsons Green Lane in south-west London, which has a coffee shop, or the outlet store and warehouse in Chessington, Surrey. Delivery covers mainland UK only: standard parcels cost £6.95 and take 2 to 3 working days, next-day delivery is £12.95, and large or extra-large furniture goes by a two-person courier for £29 or £49. Online orders can be collected free from Chessington, and most items can be returned within 30 days.
