About Otticanet
Otticanet is an online eyewear shop from Biella in northern Italy, run by Star S.r.l., which also has two VisionOttica opticians in the town. It has been selling online since 2003 and ships worldwide, with a UK version of the site that shows prices in pounds.
The range runs to well over a hundred brands, from luxury fashion houses such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Celine, Prada, Tom Ford and Cartier to everyday names like Ray-Ban, Oakley, Polaroid and Guess, plus independent labels such as Mykita and Kuboraum. You can shop by brand, shape, gender or features such as polarised or mirrored lenses, and there are children's frames and an Outlet section of reduced styles. Otticanet says all its eyewear is 100% original, sent in the brand's own case and with a certificate of authenticity where one applies.
For UK buyers the practical points are good: delivery is free, the estimated time is two to four days, and Otticanet pays the import duties and taxes so nothing is due on the doorstep. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery if the glasses are unworn and in their original packaging, but the return postage is at your own cost unless the item was faulty or wrong.
