About Pleasance & Harper
Pleasance & Harper began in 1879 as a small jeweller in Wine Street, Bristol. In 1919 the original Mr Harper's three sons joined and expanded it, opening shops across Wales, the Midlands and the West Country. Later shops were sold, and by the 1990s recession the business was down to one store, in Hereford. Mark Harper, the fourth generation of the family, joined in 1997 and is now chairman, and a second Hereford shop opened in 2010.
Today there's a jewellery shop at 54 Broad Street and a watch boutique next door at number 56. The website sells engagement, wedding and eternity rings (including its own Pleasance & Harper diamond and platinum designs and lab-grown diamonds), jewellery from Kit Heath, Clogau, Georg Jensen, Alex Monroe, Deakin & Francis and others, watches from brands such as OMEGA, TAG Heuer, Longines, Hamilton, Tissot, Seiko and Garmin, pre-owned watches, and gifts including SECRID wallets, Cross pens and LEGO clocks.
It's an authorised stockist for its watch brands and also offers jewellery and watch repairs, valuations, part exchange and a gold buying service. Online orders come by DPD next working day delivery, free over £100, with a security PIN and no safe-place option. You can also click and collect from Hereford, and interest-free finance is available through its FCA-authorised credit broking.
