About Social Stories Club

Social Stories Club sells gift boxes and hampers made up of products from social enterprises: businesses that put money or effort into causes such as reforestation, disability inclusion and education. Each gift comes with a small story booklet explaining what the items inside support, and no receipt or price is included for the recipient.

It was started by Karis Gill and Aayush Goyal, who wanted to introduce more people to social enterprise. It began with three gift boxes and now offers ready-made boxes and hampers, letterbox gifts, vegan gifts and a build-your-own option where you pick the treats yourself. All gifts are vegetarian as standard. A large part of the business is corporate gifting for staff and clients.

Packaging is designed to be low waste: gift boxes use biodegradable cardboard, hampers come in reusable paper-rope baskets, and wood wool is used as filler. Delivery emissions are offset. Orders placed before noon on a working day usually go out the same day, and standard UK delivery is free, with paid upgrades to faster services.
