Stand4 Socks is a British sock brand and social enterprise founded by Josh Turner. Its model is 'buy one, give one': for every pair sold, it donates a pair of thick, naturally anti-bacterial socks to someone who needs them, with homeless shelters among the main recipients. The site counts more than 875,000 pairs donated and lists partners including Refuge, Lotus House, ShowerBox and Joy of Sox. The company is a certified B Corporation.
The range is fun more than formal. There are skyline socks for London, Manchester, Bristol, Newcastle and other cities, 'Wear Your Icons' designs featuring people such as Frida Kahlo, Emmeline Pankhurst and Liam and Noel Gallagher, plus animal, sport and hobby prints and plain twisted-cotton and bamboo everyday socks. Most socks are combed cotton with polyamide and elastane, and come in sizes 3-8 and 9-12. The site also takes custom and corporate gifting orders.
The UK shop prices in pounds, with free shipping on orders over £35 and a 5 pairs for £25 bundle. A Last Chance sale clears older designs, some at a fraction of their original price. Returns of unused socks with labels and packaging intact are accepted within 30 days.
