About The String King
The String King is an online shop for orchestral string players, run from a farm office near Frome in Somerset by SBG Aurora Limited. It stocks strings for violin, viola, cello and double bass from the main makers, including Pirastro, Larsen and D'Addario, alongside rosins, bows, bridges, chinrests, shoulder rests, metronomes and teaching aids.
For beginners and school players there are Primavera violin outfits in every size down to 1/32, sold with a case and bow, as well as violas, cellos and double basses. More experienced players will find Eastman and Heritage instruments, Finkel and Musing bows, the full range of French-made BAM cases for strings, brass, woodwind and guitar, and Oldwood varnishes and colours for repairs and making.
Standard UK delivery is free on orders over £10, except instruments and cases, which cost £4.49, and small items such as strings go out as tracked large letters that fit through the letterbox. Returns are accepted within 30 days, sale items included, and the site offers Klarna and PayPal instalments on larger buys.
