Babouche! Golf is a small British brand started by golfer David Long. The idea came on a family holiday to Marrakech in late 2017, when a local leather maker called Khalid laughed that David wanted 'leather slippers for golf clubs'. Babouche is the Moroccan word for slippers, and the name stuck. The first head covers launched in spring 2018, golf towels followed in 2019, and everything is now made in the brand's own workshop in Hampshire.

It suits golfers who want a bag that stands out from the standard covers clubs come with, anyone flying the flag on a golf trip, and people hunting for a golf gift that isn't another sleeve of balls. Designs include country flags, sugar skulls, botanic and camo patterns, stripes and quilted covers with optional monogram initials. There's a custom service for clubs, societies and company golf days too.

The country covers are the easiest place to start. The Scotland Head Cover is £44.95 and, like the rest of the range, has a soft felt lining. The Flag Head Cover lets you pick almost any country's flag for £39.95. Allow around two weeks from order to dispatch for flag covers. For practice, the Golf Swing Alignment Towel is £19.95 and is designed to help with stance width, ball position and alignment during practice.

For a classic look, the Driver Quilted Head Cover is £44.95 and can be finished with handcrafted monogram initials. Patriots might prefer the Union Jack Driver Head Cover at £59.95. Covers are sized for modern 460cc drivers, fairway woods and hybrids.
