Vintage Football Shirts has been selling original football shirts online since 2010 and is run from Farndon, near Chester. It stocks thousands of shirts, from licensed replicas going back to the early 1980s to rare player-issue and match-worn pieces, covering almost every British club plus teams from across Europe, South America, Africa and Asia, and national sides.

It's a good place to look if you're after a shirt from a particular season, a present for a fan who remembers a certain team, or simply a cheaper current kit. Every item is described as official and from the season stated, and each listing gives a condition grade, from BNIB (brand new in bag) and BNWT (brand new with tags) through as new and mint to excellent, with notes on any small marks. Most retro shirts are one-offs in a single size, so the stock changes daily.

UK delivery is £3.99 by Royal Mail tracked, usually one to three days, or £6.99 by Special Delivery. The shop ships worldwide too, with VAT collected at checkout for EU orders up to €150 so there are no surprise charges on arrival. You can pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay or Clearpay, and gift cards are available if you can't decide on a shirt.

What's worth a look

A mix of retro classics and newer shirts that were on the site when we checked, with the prices shown at the time.

The 1996-98 Manchester United Umbro home shirt is graded excellent, and the 2006-07 Liverpool European third shirt carries Gerrard's number 8. At the other end of the scale, brand-new current kits such as the 2025-26 West Ham home shirt were reduced by around half. Because the vintage pieces are single items, they may have sold by the time you read this, but similar shirts turn up all the time.
