Brooklands Kitchens: complete kitchen bundles sold online from Wigan

Brooklands Kitchens is a young online kitchen supplier based in Wigan. Its idea is to sell trade-style kitchens direct at one clear price, without a showroom. The main thing it sells is the bundle deal: a complete kitchen of ten units in whatever mix of base, wall and larder sizes your room needs, with soft-close hinges and carcasses in white, grey or oak to go with your doors.

It suits homeowners doing a kitchen on a budget who are happy to plan online and arrange their own fitter, and landlords or developers kitting out several properties. Cabinets come flat-pack by default, and you can upgrade to a fully rigid, pre-assembled build. Installation isn't included. If you're not sure where to start, you can send in a rough plan or measurements for a free quote, order a free door sample, or book a free survey if you live within 40 miles of Wigan.

The Buckingham shaker bundle is the classic choice, and the deep Indigo Ash finish makes a good alternative to white or grey. It costs £2,999 for the full ten units, the same as the Fenton slab bundles. For a sleeker look, the Larissa handleless bundle costs £3,499. To finish the room there are Kronodesign laminate worktops from £119 on the collection page, and inset sink and tap packs from about £109.

How to save more

• If you're buying a whole kitchen, order a bundle before the end of October. Two worktops, delivery and rigid assembly are all costs you'd otherwise pay for separately.
• Use the free planning service before ordering. Getting the unit mix right first time saves on returns, and return costs are yours for change-of-mind returns.
• Trade buyers (landlords, developers, fitters) should apply for trade membership, which gives project-by-project pricing.
