CSD, short for Consigned Sealed Delivered, is a London consignment store for women's pre-owned designer fashion. It launched in 2020 and has a shop at 70-72 Marylebone Lane, just behind Selfridges, as well as a website that ships across the UK and abroad. It suits anyone who wants a Chanel, Bottega Veneta or Manolo Blahnik piece without paying boutique prices, and who'd rather buy from a shop that checks what it sells than from a stranger on a marketplace.

Everything comes from private wardrobes, so each item is a one-off and stock changes daily. CSD's in-house specialists check every piece before it goes on sale, and handbags over £400, plus all Chanel and Hermès, get a second check through LegitGrails. Each listing gives a condition grade and, where known, an estimated original retail price, so you can see what you're saving.

Orders placed before midday go out the same day by DHL Express, with next-day delivery in the UK, and every parcel is tracked and insured. Because of the value of the items, deliveries need a signature by default. CSD also ships to more than 100 countries and can show prices in dollars, euros, Canadian or Australian dollars, though buyers outside the UK may have to pay customs charges. You can spread the cost with Klarna, Clearpay, Laybuy or PayPal, depending on where you live.

What's worth a look

A few pieces from the current stock, which may sell quickly because there's only one of each.

Bags are the heart of the range. The Tom Ford Tara shoulder bag was listed at £685 against an estimated retail price of £2,500, in very good condition. Shoes and clothing can be even cheaper: a Jil Sander black trench coat in a UK 8 was £365. Browse new arrivals regularly if you're after something particular.

How to save more

• Use the newsletter discount on a smaller first buy and keep CSD500 for an order over £500. Check at checkout whether the two can be combined.
• Read the condition grade and look through all the photos before you buy. Online orders can be returned within 14 days, but only with the security tag attached, and anything sold for £3,000 or more can only be returned for store credit.
• If you're near central London, visit the Marylebone Lane shop to see pieces in person. In-store returns are for store credit only, though, so be sure before you pay.
