Delivita is a family-owned outdoor oven brand based near Lancaster, run by Gastronomy Plus Ltd. Its ovens are designed in Britain and the larger ones are built around a traditional clay oven inside a bright fibreglass shell, in colours like chilli red, British racing green and very black.

It suits anyone who wants to cook outdoors beyond the barbecue: pizza nights, roasts, bread and slow-cooked dishes. Delivita says its ovens reach up to 550°C and cook a pizza in about 90 seconds. There are three main ovens to choose from: the compact gas-fired Diavolo, the wood-fired Origin and the dual-fuel Flow, which runs on wood or gas.

What's worth a look

Here are three ovens and three add-ons, with prices as shown today.

The Diavolo at £199 is the easiest way in: it's light, comes with a folding peel and carry case, and works for camping as well as the garden. If you want real wood-fired flavour but don't want to give up the convenience of gas, the Flow at £699 does both.

Beyond the ovens, the shop has stands and all-weather covers, a bake and roast door for slow cooking, peels, gloves and cast iron dishes, plus fuel, sauces and fresh dough balls that are made to order and sent out Monday to Thursday. Bundles pair an oven with a stand or a set of tools, and e-gift cards start at £10 if you're buying for someone else.

Delivery of ovens is booked in for a weekday, and you'll get a call beforehand. Larger ovens are heavy, so mention narrow lanes or weight limits when you book, and remember that the driver delivers rather than assembles.

• Keep the box: unwanted items can go back within 30 days, but only unused and in the original packaging, and collecting an oven costs £70.
