Direnza: induction kits, intercoolers and springs for European cars

Direnza is a UK brand of aftermarket parts for popular European cars. It's a division of Jap Parts, the Manchester-area company behind Japspeed, and the site says its parts are designed and tested in-house. The range runs from cold air induction kits and air filters to radiators, intercoolers, decats and downpipes, exhaust systems, engine mounts, short shifters, lowering springs and wheel spacers. There's also Direnza clothing.

It suits hobbyists and home modifiers with an Audi, BMW, Ford, Mini, Seat, Skoda, Vauxhall or VW who want branded upgrades at a set price. Search by make, model and variant to narrow the list to parts that fit your car. Most parts are tied to particular engine codes and year ranges.

Direnza says it uses motorsport as a test bed, sponsoring and supporting race teams to try out new designs, and every part comes with a 12-month warranty. There's a separate trader login for businesses. The team aims to reply to messages within an hour during working hours.

What's worth a look

Six parts and bits from across the range, with prices as shown on Direnza's site, VAT and UK mainland delivery included.

Direnza's own MVT (Multi-Vane Technology) intercoolers use vanes in the end tanks to spread air across more of the core. The MVT front mount intercooler core for the Golf MK7 GTI and R is a good example. At the cheaper end, the Direnza Hoodie is £31.49 in sizes S to XL.

Current offers

We don't have a Direnza discount code right now. Two things on the site help with the cost:

• Delivery included: prices include VAT and delivery to UK mainland addresses. Orders are aimed to be dispatched within 3 working days.
• Spread the cost: Klarna, Clearpay and PayPal finance are offered on eligible products. Eligibility shows on the product page and at checkout.

The newsletter promises subscribers exclusive discounts and news of new parts for their car.

How to save more

• Check fitment before you order. Use the vehicle search and match the engine code and years in the product title. Returns are accepted within 14 days, but only if the part is unused and uninstalled.
• Budget for professional fitting. Direnza's terms say parts must be fitted by a qualified mechanic at a registered garage, or the 12-month warranty and returns policy no longer apply.
• Ask before buying. The team checks compatibility by phone (0844 448 2002, a paid line) or email at [email protected], Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
• Pick your make when you sign up. The newsletter form asks for your vehicle manufacturer, so the emails about new parts and subscriber discounts can match your car.
