Domenica Marland started in 2018 as a small online gallery selling affordable original art, and has grown into a shop for characterful homeware as well. It's run by its founder, who trained in art history at the Courtauld, and the mix is very much a personal selection: paintings and prints by independent artists, alongside the shop's own designs in Murano glass, hand-painted lacquer and marquetry.
It suits anyone furnishing a home who wants something with more personality than a high-street print, and it's a good hunting ground for wedding and housewarming presents. There's a wedding edit and a gifts under £50 page if you're shopping for someone else.

The glassware is the heart of the Designed by Domenica Marland range: the Maxi Tumbler is mouth-blown in Murano in two-tone stripes, and the Kiki Tumbler comes singly or as a set of four, so you can mix colours. On the art side, September's artist in residence, Jasmyn Fraser, paints small oil-on-board flower studies such as 'Foxglove', framed in oak and hung from a dyed silk ribbon. Some pieces sell out quickly and some are made to order, so check the product page for availability.
Beyond glass, the homeware side runs to linen, ceramics, candles, planters and a rug collection made with Sparrow & Grass, and the makers page introduces the small brands the shop stocks. Orders go out by tracked Royal Mail within three to seven days of ordering. Because some items are made to order or sent straight from the maker, a mixed order can turn up in more than one parcel. Overseas orders are accepted, but any import duties are yours to pay.
