Store spotlight: Muc-Off, Poole's pink bike cleaner and much more

Muc-Off began with a pink spray. Rex Trimnell, who ran the cycling business X-Lite UK with his wife Marilyn from 1991, mixed it up to clean his own kit, and word soon got round. The family firm is still based in Poole, Dorset, where Rex's son Alex now runs it and develops products in its own R&D centre. You'll see the brand at the races too, as it sponsors teams such as EF Pro Cycling.

The range now goes well beyond cleaner. There are chain lubes and waxes, tubeless kit, brushes and tools, electric inflators, and battery-powered pressure washers you can take to the trailhead. It suits road riders, mountain bikers, commuters and motorbike owners alike. UK delivery is free over £30.

What's worth a look

Here are some kits and kit-outs on the UK store today.

The Family Bike Care Kit is the standout deal at the moment: £50, down from £110. It has a litre each of Bike Cleaner and Cleaner Concentrate, Bio Chain Cleaner, Bio MO-94, All Weather Lube, a brush, a sponge, a cloth and a tote, so it's enough to look after a few bikes. If you ride off-road and want to clean up before the drive home, the Mobile Pressure Washer Starter Bundle (£250) has a 20-litre tank and a 40V battery. At the moment it comes with a free extra water tank, added at checkout.

For roadside top-ups, the AirMach Electric Mini Inflator Pro (£100) weighs 122g. It goes up to 120psi, fits Presta and Schrader valves, and charges by USB-C.

Motorbike riders aren't left out. There's an Off Road Motorcycle Chain Care Kit for £30 and a Moto Dirt Battle Box for £75, and there's a Mobile Pressure Washer Moto Starter Bundle for £250. Spares are sold separately, including hoses, foam lances and extra battery packs, so you don't have to buy a whole new kit if you lose a part. After washing, the HCB-1 Harsh Condition Barrier (£16 for 400ml) is a spray-on finishing step.
