Foodworld XL: a Dutch online grocer, not shipping to the UK for now

Foodworld XL is an online shop for food, drink and household goods with more than 10,000 products. Since May 2025 it has been run by 4UStore, a small Dutch company founded in 2013 and based in Oostburg in Zeeland, which also runs shops for canteen supplies, washroom paper and liquorice.

Before anything else, the important point for UK readers: although the .co.uk site shows prices in pounds, its shipping page currently says it is unable to ship to the United Kingdom or the United States. So for now Foodworld XL is only useful if you have a delivery address elsewhere in Europe, for example a holiday home or family in the Netherlands or Belgium. We'll update this article if UK delivery returns.

The range is wide. There's chocolate, sweets and biscuits, crisps and nuts, coffee beans and pods, tea, soft drinks, sauces and spices, and international foods from the US, Asia and Mexico. On the non-food side you'll find kitchenware, Boska cheese knives and fondue sets, cleaning products and seasonal ranges for Sinterklaas, Christmas and Halloween. Business customers can pay on invoice and ask for a quote on large orders.

Payment options reflect its Dutch and Belgian customers: iDEAL, credit cards, Bancontact and PayPal. Shipping costs are worked out from the weight, size and destination of your order and shown in the final checkout step before you pay. The team answers the phone on weekdays from 8am to 5pm, Netherlands time, and stock is topped up several times a week, so popular lines don't stay out of stock for long.

Advent calendars are the seasonal highlight, from the Quality Street calendar at £16.97 to a tea book calendar from English Tea Shop at £19.63. Many product pages also show a lower price per item when you buy three or more.

How to save more

• Check the delivery cost at checkout before you commit: it depends on weight, size and destination, and heavy items such as drinks add up quickly.
• Bulk packs, such as ten 250g boxes of Merci, work out cheaper per box if you're buying for an office or a party.
• Contact customer service before sending anything back, as returns sent at your own expense aren't refunded.
