F-Secure is a Finnish cyber security company that has been making antivirus software since 1988, when it started out as Data Fellows. Based in Helsinki, it now focuses on protecting people at home, while its business security side trades separately as WithSecure. As a Finnish company it is covered by EU data protection rules, and it says its VPN keeps no traffic logs and doesn't sell or share your traffic.
It suits households who want one subscription covering a mix of Windows PCs, Macs, Android phones and iPhones, and anyone who would rather pay for protection than rely on free tools. The UK site prices everything in pounds, including VAT, and online orders are handled by Cleverbridge, F-Secure's authorised reseller.

F-Secure Total is the all-in-one option, with antivirus, a VPN, a password manager and identity monitoring in a single app. After a 30-day free trial it renews at £59.99 a year for one device, £79.99 for three or £99.99 for five. If you only need the core protection, Internet Security starts at £39.99 a year and covers viruses, ransomware and safer online banking and shopping.
The newest product is Scam Protection, a monthly plan that checks links and websites for scams. It costs £4.99 a month for up to five devices after a seven-day free trial.
The apps run on Windows 10 and 11, macOS 13 or later, iOS 18 or later and Android 12 or later, so check your devices before buying, especially older phones. Once you sign up, everything is managed from a My F-Secure account, where you can add or remove devices, share spare licences with family and see when your subscription renews. F-Secure also has free tools, such as a link checker and an identity theft checker, that you can use without subscribing.
