Glori: an organic, UK-made sleep supplement with a £9.99 trial pack

Glori is a small British wellness brand that makes just one thing: Glori Deep Sleep, a plant-based supplement you take in the evening as part of a wind-down routine. It's certified organic by the Soil Association, vegan, and made in the UK in GMP-certified facilities. Like other food supplements, it's regulated as a food rather than a medicine.

It suits people who like to read an ingredients list before they buy. Each capsule contains sea lettuce (a natural source of magnesium), ashwagandha root, valerian root, lemon balm, chamomile flower and zinc from shiitake and oyster mushrooms, with the amounts set out on the brand's What's Inside page. If you're pregnant, take medication or have a health condition, check with your GP or pharmacist first, as you would with any herbal supplement.

What's worth a look

Glori sells three sizes online, plus a few pages worth reading before you order.

The 14-capsule trial pack is a 7-day supply at £9.99, down from £19.99, so it's the obvious place to start. If you decide to stick with it, the 180-capsule bottle is a 90-day supply at £79.99. That's less than three of the 60-capsule bottles at £29.99 each, which would come to £89.97.

If you'd rather buy in person, the Stockists page lists independent health food shops that carry Glori, from North Shields and Malton to Oxted, Pulborough and Pinner.

Delivery is straightforward. Bottles go free by Royal Mail Express, usually arriving in one to two working days, and Glori also ships abroad, including to the US, by Royal Mail International Tracked or FedEx Priority. The capsules are vegan and contain no synthetic fillers, according to the brand, and the site lists the dose of every ingredient, which makes it easy to compare with other supplements you already take.
