monbento is a French brand that has been making reusable lunch boxes since 2009. It's based in Clermont-Ferrand, where it designs its products and runs its warehouse, and it's backed by Peugeot Frères Industrie. The idea is simple: take a home-made lunch to work, school or the gym in a box that lasts, instead of buying food in disposable packaging.

It suits office workers who batch-cook, parents packing school lunches and anyone who wants their lunch kit to match. The UK site prices everything in pounds and sends orders from France by FedEx, which takes two to seven working days. Delivery is free on orders over £80, and the shipping page notes that any import duties or taxes due on arrival are the customer's responsibility.

What's worth a look

• MB Original: the brand's best-known box, made in France, with two stacking 500ml containers (1 litre in total). It's microwave and dishwasher safe and currently £30.50 in green Natural. Prices can change.
• Flex: a newer 1-litre lunch box with two compartments and cutlery, currently £25.90.
• Slide M: an insulated children's bottle with a built-in straw, here in pink leopard print, currently £29.90.
• MB Steel: a 500ml stainless-steel insulated bottle, currently £26 on the Deals page.
• Packs with colours of your choice: MB Original sets where you pick the colours, from £39.90 for the Starter pack.

Beyond these, the range takes in larger lunch boxes, glass and metal boxes, insulated food jars, tumblers, insulated lunch bags and cutlery sets. The kids' section has snack boxes, sandwich boxes, compote bottles and small cutlery, and there's a leopard print collection running across boxes and bottles if you like your lunch kit to match. You can also customise an MB Original with your own choice of colours.

Current offers

• Up to 30% off selected products on the Deals page.
• Free UK delivery on orders over £80.
• Loyalty points on logged-in orders: 1 point per £1 spent, with each point worth 5p off a later order.
• For Pink October, £1 from each pink Moka product goes to a breast cancer charity.

How to save more

• Bundle up to reach £80. A lunch box, a bottle and a lunch bag together often get you to the free delivery threshold, which saves the FedEx charge.
• Replace parts rather than whole boxes. The spare parts section has lids, inner containers, straps and seals for most models.
• Always log in before you check out so your order earns loyalty points.

Klarna instalments are available on orders over £90. For anything else, there's an online help centre and a contact form on the site.
