About monbento
monbento is a French brand that has made reusable lunch boxes since 2009, with the aim of cutting down on disposable packaging and food waste. It has its headquarters and warehouse in Clermont-Ferrand in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, where its designers, sales and customer service teams are based. The business is backed by Peugeot Frères Industrie, and its products carry a "developed by Peugeot" label.
The UK site sells the stacking MB Original bento box, which is made in France, alongside compartment, insulated, metal and glass lunch boxes, insulated bottles and tumblers, lunch bags, cutlery sets and sauce pots. There's a dedicated kids' range with snack boxes, small lunch boxes and bottles with straws, plus sets, customisable packs and spare parts for most models, so a lost lid or seal can be replaced rather than the whole box.
Prices are in pounds. UK orders are sent from France by FedEx and take two to seven working days, with free delivery from £80; the shipping page says customers are responsible for any import duties and taxes due on arrival. Products are covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects (the MB Warmer heated lunch box is excluded), and a loyalty scheme gives points on orders placed while logged in.
