Moon Creations is a UK makeup brand known for face paint, glitter and neon makeup, and its own shop sells the full family of ranges. Moon Glitter covers glitters and gels, Moon Glow neon UV and glow-in-the-dark products, Cosmic Moon metallics, Moon Terror Halloween and special effects, and MoonFX party-machine fluids. It suits parents doing a children's party, festival-goers, fancy-dress fans and budding face painters, and with Halloween less than a fortnight away the Moon Terror range is timely.

The company says its face paint cake pots and body crayons are made and formulated in the UK. The cake pots are described as vegan-friendly and the Pro FX Liquid Latex as cruelty-free and vegan.

The Pro Face Paint Cake Pots are £5.99 for a 36g pot and come in a long list of shades, from pastels to bold colours. There's also a 40-colour professional kit if you paint faces regularly. For Halloween, Pro FX Liquid Latex starts at £2.99 for 15ml. You can use it to build scars, wrinkles and peeling skin, then peel it off afterwards. It contains latex, so skip it if anyone in the house is allergic.

The Moon Glow Neon UV Face & Body Paint is £2.99 per 12ml tube. It looks bright in daylight and glows under UV or blacklights, which makes it a good choice for parties and gigs.

The Body Crayons are wax-based, need no water, and are described as sweat-proof and water-resistant. They come off with makeup wipes. The Holographic Chunky Glitter is cosmetic grade, so it can go on the face, hair and body, and it washes off with water. Away from makeup, the Neon UV 3D Fabric Paint works on clothes, shoes, bags, wood, ceramic and glass. You can let it dry for 24 hours or set it with an iron. The MoonFX range of snow, smoke, bubble and haze fluids is worth a look if you're running a party machine.
