Petgevity is lifetime pet insurance for cats and dogs, launched in 2021 by the Staysure Group, the people behind Staysure and Avanti travel insurance. It covers pets from four weeks old with no upper age limit, and its Lifetime Plus policies can cover some pets with pre-existing conditions.

It suits owners of older pets and owners whose pet has a medical history, as well as households with several pets. Petgevity is a trading name of TICORP Limited, regulated by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission and trading into the UK with Financial Conduct Authority FRN 663617. You pick an annual vet fee limit from £1,000 to £15,000, which resets each year you renew. An excess or bill share is optional. Adding one lowers the price, and setting both to zero means Petgevity pays the whole bill up to your limits. The "from" prices on the cards are Petgevity's own figures, based on the cheapest 10% of new policies sold between July and December 2025. Your quote will depend on your pet. • Multi-pet: £1 off per pet, per month, for every pet you add (up to eight).

How to save more

• Put all your cats and dogs on one multi-pet policy rather than separate ones to get the per-pet discount.
• Switching from another lifetime insurer at the same level with no break? Petgevity says it can provide continuous cover.
• Weigh the vet fee limit against the price. A lower limit costs less, but it caps what you can claim each year.
