Aldi is the German-owned discount supermarket that opened its first British store in Birmingham in 1990 and now has more than 1,100 shops across England, Scotland and Wales. Most of the range is its own brands, from Nature's Pick fruit and veg to the premium Specially Selected line, and the focus is on low everyday shelf prices rather than points or voucher codes. It suits anyone doing a weekly family shop on a budget, and anyone who likes a rummage through the middle aisle.

That middle aisle is where Specialbuys live, alongside a Toy Shop section and seasonal ranges such as Halloween and Christmas. These non-food lines arrive every Thursday and Sunday, they're sold only in store, and once a line has gone it usually doesn't come back. The Aldi app has a stock checker and a shopping list, which helps if you're after something specific.

What's worth a look

Here are six things on the Aldi website right now, from fruit and bakery to this autumn's Specialbuys.

With the heating season starting, the Ambiano dehumidifier at £44.99 and the bladeless fan heater at £49.99 are among the current Specialbuy top picks. Both are listed as while stock lasts. For the living room, the SOHL oval ottoman is £16.99. Aldi's stock checker shows an estimate of what your local store has, so it's worth a look before you set off. On the food side, Specially Selected all butter croissants have dropped to £1.99 for four (from £2.09), and Costellore Prosecco DOC is down to £5.25 (from £5.45).

Current offers

We don't have any affiliate codes for Aldi, and Aldi doesn't run voucher codes. Its savings come from these regular price promotions instead:

  • Super 6: six fruit and veg lines at reduced prices, changing every two weeks. When we looked, British Royal Gala apples were 79p for six (was £1.59) and a 1kg bag of carrots was 49p (was 69p). Prices can vary by store.
  • Super Weekly Offers: weekly reductions on fresh meat and fish, such as Ashfields XXL beef and pork mince at £4.99 for 1kg (was £5.69).
  • Price Drops: everyday groceries and household lines that have come down in price, from biscuits and dishwasher tablets to party treats.

How to save more

  • Plan your fruit and veg around Super 6. The selection changes every fortnight, so check it before you write your list.
  • Look at the online leaflet before Thursday or Sunday if you're after a particular Specialbuy. Stock is limited, lines aren't usually restocked, and they're not sold online.
  • Check the Price Drops section for Specially Selected treats like croissants. It's Aldi's premium range, and lines from it regularly appear among the reductions.

Products, prices and offers checked on the store's own website on 20 Oct 2026. Prices and stock can change.
