Repenic: brass and steel switches, dimmers and smart thermostats

Repenic makes the electrical fittings you touch every day: light switches, dimmers, sockets and heating controls. It's a young British company, registered in late 2024 and trading from near Southport, and its pitch is simple. Switches and sockets shouldn't be an afterthought when you've spent money on the rest of a room. Everything comes in four matching finishes: brushed brass, stainless steel, matt white and matt black. That makes it easy to keep a whole house consistent.

It suits renovators and people doing up a kitchen or living room, as well as anyone wiring in a smart home without plastic-looking switch plates. The smart range runs on Zigbee 3.0, so it works with Home Assistant, SmartThings, Homey, Hubitat and the Philips Hue Bridge, with Alexa and Google voice control through a compatible gateway. The dimmers still work by hand at the wall without a hub. These are mains fittings, so plan on a qualified electrician to install them.

What's worth a look

Here are six picks from across the range, with prices as listed on 15 October 2026. Switches and dimmers go up in price with each extra gang.

The Wireless Smart Thermostat is the one to look at if you're tired of a dated heating controller. At £99 for the one-to-two-zone kit, it controls heating and hot water, handles up to three heating zones with extra thermostats, and needs no separate hub or monthly subscription. For a statement finish, the brushed brass toggle switch starts at £39 for one gang and suits period homes and modern kitchens alike.

How to save more

• Plan the whole room at once. Bundling four or more matching pieces in the bundle builder beats buying them one by one.
• Group orders to reach £200, which gets free UK delivery instead of the £6.50 charge. Orders are usually dispatched within 24 hours on working days.
• Check each product before your electrician fits it. Once something has been wired in, you can't return it just because you've changed your mind, though faults are covered by the five-year warranty.
