Safety Brands is a family business in Birmingham that sells safety footwear online and wholesale. It says it has been going since 2014 and works from a unit on the Kings Norton Trading Estate, where all its stock is kept. Its speciality is safety trainers that look more like everyday sneakers than heavy work boots, so it suits warehouse staff, tradespeople, delivery drivers and anyone else who has to wear protective footwear all day.

Most styles have steel toe caps, and many product pages list UKCA approval and SBP SRA ratings. A few styles are sold as non-PPE certified, so check the listing if your employer needs certified footwear. Shoes are sold by style number, most are unisex, and there's a gift card for employers who'd rather let staff choose their own pair.

Because everything is in stock in the Midlands rather than shipped from overseas, delivery is quick. Orders go out by Royal Mail 24-hour tracked at no charge, and orders placed before noon should arrive the next working day. If the fit isn't right, you have 30 days to send unworn shoes back in their box for a refund, and the team asks you to allow up to 72 hours from when your return arrives for the refund to be processed.
