Sweatband has been selling sports and fitness equipment online since 1999. It is a trading name of Dyaco UK Ltd, is based in Milton Keynes and has a showroom on Midsummer Boulevard where you can try equipment before buying. The range runs from treadmills, exercise bikes, rowers and cross trainers to benches, racks and weights, with brands including Reebok, Echelon, NordicTrack and ProForm plus Sweatband's own DKN, Viavito and Half Human labels. There is also a large racket sports section covering tennis, padel, squash, badminton and table tennis.

Many products can be split into four interest-free payments, and heavy items over 30kg arrive by a booked two-person delivery. If something arrives faulty, Sweatband collects it free of charge within 30 days, and after that the manufacturer's warranty applies, which is at least a year for most products and six months for table games. The customer service team answers calls on 0203 773 3847 and emails from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm.

How to save more

• If an authorised retailer has the same item for less, call 0203 773 3847 (option 3) and ask for a price match.
• Check the 14-day returns rules before ordering bulky machines. Return freight is taken off the refund, so measuring your space first can save money.
• Racket players should look through the padel section before paying full price elsewhere, as several rackets are currently reduced, including the Dunlop Galactica Team at more than half off its previous price.
• Visit the Milton Keynes showroom if you are nearby to try a treadmill or bike before you commit.
