Tile Kingdom is a family-run tile retailer based at Bow, near Crediton in mid Devon. It started trading as a limited company in 2020, and the people behind it have years of experience in the tiling trade. Most of its customers order online from all over the UK, while local tradespeople and households in Devon get a more personal service. If you're redoing a bathroom, a kitchen splashback or a patio and want a good choice at sensible prices, it's well worth a look.

The range runs to more than 2,000 products: ceramic, porcelain, mosaic and natural stone tiles, metro and patterned designs, wood-effect tiles, 20mm outdoor porcelain pavers, LVT and SPC flooring, SPC wall panels, and tools and accessories. Tile pages show the price per box and per square metre, which makes comparing tiles of different sizes much easier.

The site is also helpful if you're new to tiling. Its FAQs explain the difference between porcelain and ceramic, what a rectified edge is, and how the R9 to R13 anti-slip ratings work. They recommend R11 or above for wet rooms, and larger tiles over underfloor heating because grout doesn't conduct heat well. Most tiles can be ordered as a full-size sample or a cheaper sample chip, so you can see the colour and finish at home first. If you're adding to an earlier order, you can put the batch number in the checkout comments and the team will try to match it.

What's worth a look

Here are six products from across the range, from small mosaics to tile cutters for the trade.

The Glossy White 20x20cm is a simple, versatile wall tile at £24.40 a box, which works out at £15.25 per square metre. For floors, the new Emblem LVT range includes herringbone planks such as Greenwood at £57.42 a box. Outdoors, the 20mm porcelain pavers come by the box or by the pallet, and the outdoor tiles section has the full choice.

Current offers

We don't have any Tile Kingdom codes in our list yet, but the site itself has a few ways to save:

• Free standard UK delivery on orders over £300. Below that, delivery is £25 an order.
• Free delivery on all full-size samples. You still pay for the sample itself, which is £12 on many tiles, and sample chips start from a few pounds.
• The Price Drop page has selected tiles, LVT, wall panels and Sigma tile cutters reduced by around 10% to 15%.

How to save more

• Put everything in one order. Each order is charged delivery separately, so splitting a project across two baskets can cost you twice, and one order over £300 delivers free.
• Order samples before you buy in bulk. Colours vary between screens and batches, and the returns policy treats "not the shade I expected" as an unwanted item, which can mean paying return postage and a 25% restocking fee.
• Work out your area accurately and add about 10% for cuts and wastage, as Tile Kingdom suggests. Over-ordering by a long way is expensive, because discounted and clearance tiles can't be returned at all.
