Wall Panels World: panelling kits, shower boards and acoustic slats

Wall Panels World makes and sells wall panelling for DIYers and tradespeople across the UK. It started in November 2023 as a spin-off from Skirting World, the Birmingham skirting board maker, and its MDF mouldings, strips and kits are machined to order in a Birmingham factory that has been cutting MDF since 2011. If you're planning a feature wall, a panelled hallway or a quick bathroom refresh without tiling, it's a useful one-stop shop.

Where Skirting World is mostly about skirting and architrave, this site is all about walls: shaker and classic panelling kits, board-and-batten strips, waterproof PVC bathroom and shower panels, tile and marble effects, and felt-backed acoustic slat panels. It also sells the trims, adhesives and fixings to finish the job.

Before you order, the site's free planning tools are worth a few minutes. The panel moulding calculator draws your wall in 3D, works out how many lengths you need and exports a PDF plan, and each kit page has a calculator for how many kits cover your wall. Most kits cover roughly 2.8m long by 1m high.

What's worth a look

Six products from across the range, with the prices shown on the site today.

The Shaker MDF Half Wall Panelling Kit at £49.95 is an easy way into panelling: wide boards with recessed rectangles, made from moisture-resistant MDF and available unprimed, primed, undercoated or matt grey. Kits arrive in standard lengths, so you'll need to cut and mitre on site.

For a bathroom, the Plain White Boniguard Matt PVC Shower Panel covers 2.4 square metres per board for £52.72, with interlocking edges and no grout to clean. Living rooms and home offices get the slatted look with acoustic panels such as the Natural Walnut slat panel at £39.99, which has felt backing to cut down echo.
