Why use Voucher Magpie?
Every Bantu Chocolate deal here comes from Bantu Chocolate itself or its official affiliate programme, never copied from another voucher site. We give 50% of that commission to the charity, club or school you choose, at no extra cost to you.
About Bantu Chocolate
Bantu Chocolate is a small London-based brand run by Aquarius Omens Ltd and founded by Veronique Mbida, who was born in Cameroon and has Kenyan heritage. The story starts in 2016, when her mother began farming cocoa near Yaoundé. Feeling that fair trade schemes didn't go far enough for growers, Veronique set up Bantu to sell chocolate made from the family's own beans, and the brand says it pays its farm workers well above commodity and Fairtrade rates.
The cacao is grown on the family's agroforestry estate in the commune of Mengueme, a couple of hours outside Yaoundé, and is harvested, fermented and dried there. The range includes single-estate bars such as Noire 73% and Black Earl 60% with Earl Grey, the Limbe 55% vegan milk chocolate made with coconut milk, and selection boxes of mini bars called Delta Equinox, Karnak Solstice and Philae Eclipse. There is also a vegan chocolate spread, Boocha kombucha made with cacao pulp, gift cards and a build-your-own box.
The shop is aimed at people who care about where their chocolate comes from and what goes into it. The ingredient lists are short and the products are free from dairy, gluten, soy and lecithin. Packaging is plastic-free. Bantu also takes corporate gifting and wholesale orders.
