Bern: what UK riders need to know now Bern Europe has closed
Bern Europe took its last orders on 4 October 2026. Here's how returns and warranty work now, and the helmets worth knowing about.

Bern is an American helmet brand known for its low-profile, skate-style helmets with a short built-in visor. It makes helmets for cycling, e-bikes, skiing and snowboarding, skateboarding and watersports, plus junior and kids' sizes, goggles, winter liners, helmet lights and a small clothing range.
For the past few years UK and European riders bought Bern helmets from Bern Europe, an online shop run from Northern Ireland that priced in pounds, euros and other local currencies. Bern Europe took its last orders at 23:59 on Sunday 4 October 2026. Its handover notice says that from 5 October Bern looks after customers in the UK and Europe directly. The notice doesn't name a new UK web shop. Bern's own global site, bernhelmets.com, lists the United Kingdom as a delivery country, with prices in US dollars when we checked.
If you bought from Bern Europe, you keep the full 30 days from delivery to return an item. Returns received by 4 October were handled by Bern Europe; from 5 October, Bern handles returns and warranty claims for manufacturing defects directly. Bern started in 2004 in a barn in Plymouth, Massachusetts, founded by Dennis Leedom with Adam Godwin and Josh Walker.

It depends on the code. Many discount codes exclude items that are already reduced, so open Terms on the code before you use it.
Most codes exclude gift cards and items already reduced, and some need a minimum spend or are for new customers only. Open Terms on the code, or tap "Didn't work?" and we'll recheck it.
Tap Get code and we copy it for you. Add your items to the basket on the Bern website, then paste the code into the discount or promo code box at checkout.
