About BioVelvet
BioVelvet is a small UK skincare brand built around deer antler velvet. The formula was developed by Dr Doron Zur, a vet and scientist, who became interested in velvet after seeing deer regrow their antlers each year on a family trip to New Zealand more than twenty years ago. The brand gives a north-west London address.
The range is short. The main product is the Deer Velvet Skin Barrier Repair Cream, a 50ml cream that the brand says is dermatologically tested, at £49. The other is Herpilip, a 5g lip balm in an airless pump at £16, made with deer velvet, propolis, manuka oil, jojoba, aloe vera and vitamin E. The brand sells it for dry, cracked and damaged lips and for lips affected by cold sores.
BioVelvet delivers to UK addresses only, sending orders by DPD for £3.99 or free over £100, usually within 1-3 working days of dispatch. Unopened products can be returned within 14 days of delivery, but you need to email for authorisation first. Anyone with a skin condition should check the ingredients and speak to a pharmacist or doctor if unsure.
