About Black Bee Honey
Black Bee Honey sells honey gathered by a collective of British beekeepers. Rather than blending honey from many countries, it bottles each batch by season and place, and puts the beekeeper and location on every jar. The range runs through set spring honey, runny summer honey, autumn heather and winter ivy, plus limited releases such as starflower, orchard and a chilli-spiked hot honey. The shop is an online-only business.
The business is run from Shepton Mallet in Somerset. The company behind it, Black Bee Honey Limited, was incorporated in January 2017 under the name The Accidental Beekeeper Limited. It has been a certified B Corp since 2023 and puts 2% of turnover towards creating wildflower meadows with the charity Plantlife.
As well as 227g jars, you can buy 1kg and 3kg tubs for kitchen use, gift boxes of the four seasonal honeys, beeswax candles and screen prints. A gift subscription sends two jars a month for three, six or twelve months with delivery included.
