Black Rock Grill is a family business from Hampshire, founded in 2005 by Debbie and Peter Hatter and their daughter Louise after years running hotels, restaurants and pubs. It is known for the 'steak on the stone' idea: a volcanic stone is heated and brought to the table so each diner cooks their own meat or fish as they eat. Black Rock Grill Limited trades from premises in Basingstoke, and a sister company, Black Rock Grill USA Inc, serves customers in the United States.
For the home there are individual and sharing steak stone sets, gift sets and multipacks, often with a bamboo serving board, along with heat-resistant gloves, grill brushes, fondue fuel gel, steak knives and serving boards. For restaurants, pubs and cruise lines, the ROXY set-ups bundle rocks, plates and a rock oven, with lease finance on offer. The shop also sells Effeuno and Macte electric pizza ovens, Pizza Party gas and wood ovens, MFItaly dough mixers, Biscotto pizza stones and Tramontina cutlery, as UK distributor for several of these brands.
