About The British Belt Company
The British Belt Company is the retail side of Arnold Wills & Co, a family-run leather goods maker founded in 1946 in Uppingham, Rutland. The factory has made belts and small leather goods for other well-known brands for decades, and the business designs and makes its own belts on site from start to finish.
The shop sells casual, formal and reversible men's belts, a premium range called The Originals made in England with Italian leather, and a few women's belts. Alongside them are dresswear accessories from its Sophos label (ties, bow ties, pocket squares, braces and socks), cufflinks, wallets, card holders, washbags, hip flasks and bags in leather, Harris Tweed, waxed canvas and ripstop.
The company says it uses full grain leather from Leather Working Group approved tanneries and reuses offcuts for the leather ends on its braces. Prices are in pounds, with euro, dollar and other currencies available for overseas buyers.
