About Bunches
Bunches is a family business that began in 1989, when Erik and Sandra Hoving sold flowers from under an umbrella in Mansfield. A year later they started sending bouquets through the Post Office, and flowers by post has been the core of the business ever since. The company is now run by the next generation of the family and operates from Newstead Village in Nottinghamshire, trading as Bunches Florapost Ltd.
The range covers hand-tied bouquets, letterbox flowers that fit through the door, flower subscriptions, house plants with a choice of pot, food and drink hampers, Meg Rivers cakes and personalised greetings cards. Flowers are designed, packed and dispatched by its own team, and many stems come from Florverde Sustainable Flowers certified farms in Colombia.
Bunches says it gives at least 10% of its profits to work with people in poverty in the UK and abroad. Flowers are usually sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 for £4.99, with orders taken in advance for a chosen date, and there is a seven-day freshness guarantee. Registered customers earn Posy Points on every order, and paid Blossom and Full Bloom memberships add delivery credits and member pricing.
