About ChangeGroup
ChangeGroup is a currency exchange business founded in London in 1992 and built up as a family-owned company, originally backed by the private equity house 3i. It has been part of Prosegur Cash, the cash-management arm of the Spanish security group Prosegur, since October 2022. The group serves around five million customers a year across Europe, the US and Australia, and in the UK it trades from its office on Oxford Street and more than 50 bureaux de change, including branches at Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Newcastle and East Midlands airports.
Online, you can reserve more than 60 currencies at its online rates with 0% commission and pay when you collect in a branch, or pay by card and have the cash delivered to your door by Royal Mail. You can also sell leftover currency online and drop it at a branch to be paid in pounds. Its free virtual Travel Money Card holds up to 42 currencies, with an app, a personal IBAN and no monthly fee on the basic plan. Extras include a Buy-Back Guarantee for £5.99, travel eSIMs from Sim Local, Western Union transfers and tax-free shopping refunds in branches.
Home delivery is free on orders over £800 and £10.95 otherwise, with a £200 minimum and £1,100 maximum. ID and a signature are needed on delivery.
