Cornish Sea Salt harvests sea salt from the waters off the Lizard in south Cornwall. The company tells how its original founder, Tony Fraser, came across an Iron Age salt works while out walking and set out to revive Cornish salt-making for the modern kitchen, and today it says its salt is sold in more than 36 countries.
The online shop covers sea salt flakes and crystals in sizes from a 50g pot to 1.5kg refill bags, oak, apple and cherry wood smoked flakes, and a growing list of seasoning blends such as Salt & Peppery, Chicken Chip Salt, Rosemary Sea Salt and a Spicy Margarita rim salt for cocktail glasses. There are also seasonal bundles that cost less than buying the items separately, plus a recipe section and a sea salt guide.
Prices are in pounds and orders go by Royal Mail. Delivery is £4.25 or free when you spend £30, but the shop only sends to UK addresses, including Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. The company also supplies restaurants, retailers and food manufacturers through a separate trade side.
